Solid surface has evolved from being just a counter top material to become a highly versatile product that can be turned into creative objects of art, wall cladding, furniture applications and much more. QS QUARTZ Stone is an engineered quartz stone, by harnessing the extraordinary physical properties of quartz, one of the strongest minerals, to create a unique and glamorous product.

Quartz surface comprises of 92% to 93% natural quartz with 7 to 8% colour pigments and enhanced polymer resin to create the exceptional beauty, strength and durability of quartz to ensure a product that is far superior to natural stone and other manufactured surface.  In addition to its resistance and durability, its aesthetic and decorative looks create a perfect kitchen, bathroom, and other interior designs, including commercial applications.

The "non-porous" quality of solid surface makes it inherently resistant to mold and mildew.  This makes solid surface a natural choice for surfacing applications in kitchens, bathrooms, wet bars, pantries, laundry rooms, children;s play rooms.... While most commonly used in kitchens, solid surface is finding in many commercial and industrial applications as well.

• May crack or breakage as it colls down after a hot item or hot pan is placed directly on the surface (always remember use a trivet or stainless steel rod to make a gap between the hot items and surface);
• Will Stain.  However, because it's non-porous (that is, nothing soaks too far into it), spots can be scrubbed out;
• You will need to use cutting board, though scratches can be sanded out.

• Designers appreciate the flexibility of solid surface because the material can be machined like wood, using special equipment and fabrication procedures.
• Solid surface can be precisely cut and bonded to fit nearly and surface shape.  It can also be routed for decorative edging which can be applied with specially formulated adhesives.
• Since the material colour is consistent throughout the product, scratches, chips and stains can be sanded out "refreshed" when they occur.

• Sognos QUARTZ is a new material, which combines the advantage of natural and artificial stone. It is extremely hard, very tough, resists discoloration, zero radioactivity and acid resistant. 
• QUARTZ is mainly combined with 93% crushed quartz, 6% high-quality polyester resins and 1% other additive by an exacting standard of excellence. Crushed quartz (silicon dioxide – SiO2) is one of nature’s hardest minerals.
